Technical Issues & Recommendations

This page is best viewed using Firefox, version 90.0 or better. If you do not currently have this browser installed, you can obtain it here.

If you choose, you can use the TOR browser, version 10 or better. If you do not currently have this browser installed, you can obtain it here.

If you must, you can also use Edge. If you do not currently have this browser installed, you can obtain it here. I do not recommend Chrome.

To get the most out of this web site you will need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader 2021 or better. If you do not currently have this Reader installed, you can obtain it here.

Much of this web site was created using NetObjects Fusion 2015. I do not recommend this program, as it has reached it's 'end of life'. You can find out more about this program here.

I would like to strongly recommend the site Biblehub.com It provides excellent resources for Biblical study. You can discover for yourself the value of this site by clicking here.

I would also like to recommend to my friends that you consider adopting LibreOffice. It is an excellent and full-featured office suite that is offered at no cost! It can be obtained here.

I would also like to recommend to my friends that you consider using Startpage. It is an excellent search engine and they do not track you! They do not sell your search profile to marketers!  I dislike other sites that track your searches and sell the information.  It can be used by going to this web page.

If you are having problems displaying the Greek correctly it may be that you do not have an appropriate font installed on your computer. I would like to recommend you install Cardo. It is the open source font used on this site. It can be obtained for free from http://scholarsfonts.net/cardofnt.html To obtain more information about Cardo click here.

If you are having problems displaying the Hebrew correctly it may be that you do not have an appropriate font installed on your computer.  I would like to recommend the SBL Hebrew font. It is the open source font used on this site. It can be obtained free from: https://www.sbl-site.org/educational/BiblicalFonts_SBLHebrew.aspx To obtain more information about SBL Hebrew that same website has a very good FAQ that can be accessed here. You might want to also consider a non-traditional font that makes the identification of the individual “characters” easier for the inexperienced reader.  I have found Mangal Hebrew helpful. This font comes standard with LibreOffice, which I also recommend.

As you will rapidly discover, much of this site is “under development”. Please be patient. Sometimes things take longer than you or I would desire.

Acknowledgements

I would like to acknowledge my gratitude to David J. Perry who created the Cardo font used to display the Greek text on this site. This font is offered freely under the SIL Open Font License, version 1.1.  It can be obtained from: https://scholarsfonts.net/cardofnt.html  Keep up the good work David!
